The stars of Love in the Moonlight are reuniting 10 years after the hit drama first aired.
Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin and Kwak Dong Yeon will come together for KBS’s two-part variety special Love in the Moonlight Again, celebrating the drama’s 10th anniversary with an overnight trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.
The 2016 historical romance was a major hit, reaching a peak viewership rating of 23.3% and helping establish its young cast as rising stars.
The reunion reportedly came together after Park suggested that the cast celebrate the milestone together. Kim, Jinyoung, Chae and Kwak agreed, allowing all five stars to reunite despite their busy schedules.
According to the production team, the cast set off for their two-day, one-night trip on August 4th. The special will see them revisit memories from filming the drama a decade ago while sharing stories about the friendship they have maintained since.
The project is being produced by Sijak Company, the team behind the variety show Young Actors’ Retreat, which also featured Park and Kim.
Love in the Moonlight Again will premiere September 16th at 8:30 PM on KBS, with the second episode airing September 23rd at 9 PM KST.
