Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon has warned fans after discovering that his social media accounts may have been compromised.
Siwon shared a statement through his accounts on August 12th, saying that messages he did not send had recently been sent to multiple people through his WhatsApp, Threads and Instagram accounts.
“This has happened repeatedly, not just once, and I am currently taking security measures,” Siwon said. “I do not know who is responsible or what their intentions are, but it appears that these messages were sent as part of a targeted attempt rather than random activity.”
He urged fans to be cautious, saying, “If you receive a message from my account that feels different from my usual messages, please do not reply or open any links.”
Siwon added that he would provide another update once the issue is resolved.

This has happened repeatedly, not just once, and I am currently taking security measures. I do not know who is responsible or their intentions, but it appears that there are attempts at communication that are not random.
If you receive a message from me that feels different from usual, please do not reply or open any links.
