Nana has pushed back against hateful comments following confirmation of her relationship with former BIGBANG member T.O.P, insisting that her personal life is not something she should have to apologize for.

In a lengthy Instagram post on November 5th, the former After School member addressed people she described as self-proclaimed fans who had deliberately posted malicious comments while disregarding her personal choices and freedom.

“I want you to seriously reflect on what you expect and demand from a celebrity, and from me as a person,” she wrote.

Nana questioned why her relationship had drawn such criticism, saying she had tried but failed to understand the hostility directed at her.

“Did I do something terribly wrong? Who have I hurt? Have I done anything morally wrong?” she asked. “Let me be clear. My relationship and my decision to make it public are part of my private life. It’s my life, and I don’t believe I have anything to apologize for.”

She also urged critics not to target those who genuinely support her.

“Please don’t hurt the fans who love and respect me as a human being, beyond my status as a celebrity. Stop causing them pain,” she wrote.

Nana thanked her supporters for their encouragement, adding, “I’ll remember how much every word of support means to me and how grateful I am. I’ll do my best to repay that kindness.”

Nana and T.O.P confirmed their relationship in October. According to their agencies, the two met in January while filming the music video for “Studio54,” one of the double title tracks from T.O.P’s debut solo studio album Another Dimension, and began dating in June.

The couple was also recently spotted visiting a fan-organized birthday cafe for T.O.P together.
