Park Sung Hoon and Ryu Hyun Kyung have ended their relationship.
On Friday, the actors’ agencies told Newsen, “They are now going their separate ways.” They added, “They’ll be good colleagues. Please support both actors.” However, they didn’t reveal the reason or timing of their breakup as it was their private life.
Park Sung Hoon and Ryu Hyun Kyung first met in the play Almost, Maine and became an item. But even before they came public about their relationship, the two didn’t hide the fact that they were dating, going on dates in Daehak-ro (where outdoor musical and theater performances are hosted). Then in March 2017, the two announced their relationship, “The two met in the play Almost, Maine last year and recently became romantically involved.”
Since then, the two publicly supported each other. Park Sung Hoon sent a snack truck to Ryu Hyung Kyung’s movie set, while Ryu Hyun Kyung mentioned her boyfriend in an interview and showed her love for him. In 2018, he won the best new actor award at the KBS Drama Award and said in his acceptance speech, “Thank you to my girlfriend, who always gives me strength.”
They even nicknamed each other using their pet’s names – Box’s father and Box’s mother. But recently, Ryu Hyun Kyung changed her social media ID, sparking rumors about their breakup.
