Seo Hyun Jin will show a face she’s never shown before in the upcoming drama ‘Why Her?’
Why Her? is the new SBS Friday-Saturday series. This new heartbreaking yet love story is about the coldhearted lawyer Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), who becomes empty while pursuing only success, and law school student Gong Chan (Hwang In Youp), who isn’t afraid of anything when it comes to protecting her. Besides Seo Hyun Jin and Hwang In Youp, who will unravel the fateful love story, the cast includes Heo Joon Ho, Bae In Hyuk, Kim Chang Wan, Lee Kyung Young, and more.
And today, the production team dropped the first batch of photos of Oh Soo Jae, who hides her desire and secrets behind her stern face. Seo Hyun Jin, who plays the big-time lawyer who swallowed her regrets and turned them into spite to rise up the rank, heralded the most “venomous” and intense transformation in her career.
The photos showcase the charisma she exudes, as if she doesn’t know the meaning of failure. Also, her confidence in work doesn’t leave her outside the workplace. Her upright posture and sharp eyes give a glimpse into how she got to where she is now.
“Oh Soo Jae is an independent woman who is straightforward and does not depend on others. I found the fact that she’s somewhere between a ‘good person’ and a ‘bad person’ who would do anything to achieve what she wanted intriguing,” Seo Hyun Jin shared. “To express a sensitive woman that’s trying to survive in a male-dominated environment, I tried to express the concept of ‘containing herself’ through her clothes, hair, and makeup.”
Meanwhile, Why Her? will premiere on June 3rd at 10 PM KST.
