The first episode of Sh**ting Stars begins with Oh Han Byul (played by Lee Sung Kyung) and Gong Tae Sung (Kim Young Dae) constantly bickering at Star Force Entertainment after reuniting a year apart. The episode revolves around Han Byul, the PR manager at the talent agency, who is busy trying to keep the artists’ reputations as spotless as it seems. The episode also shares a sneak peek at their interesting relationship dynamics as Han Byul and top star Tae Sung turn out to be college friends before they met at work.
The second episode slowly illustrates the love and hate relationship between the two as the top star returns to South Korea after completing his volunteering service for one year in Africa. He begins to follow her everywhere as he sets his foot in the office. He would sit right next to her at work and attend the PR meeting to deliberately earn her attention. The employees around them start to suspect that Tae Sung, who gets on her nerves by latching onto her all day long, has feelings for Han Byul.
At the end of the episode, the sweet photos of the pair looking like a couple were leaked on the Internet along with the caption ‘Gong Sung Tae’s ex-girlfriend’ and unleashed curiosity about their past.
The second episode of the drama scored an average nationwide rating of 1.8%, recording a slight increase from its premiere episode’s rating of 1.7%.
