Kim Hee Sun shared her thoughts on her upcoming drama series Tomorrow.
When asked why she chose to star in the show, she said, “I wanted to take part in a drama that can bring everyone together. I hope that our drama gives hope to those around us.”
The actress also talked about Goo Ryun, her character in the show. She said, “Ryun speaks bluntly and directly to those who contemplate suicide. However, she is full of love and affection on the inside, and she tries to help them stand on their own feet and take charge of their own future. Ryun is a character who really cares for others.”
For this role, Kim Hee Sun had a dramatic makeover with her hair cut short and dyed pink. Regarding her new style, she said, “I changed my hair according to the character description from the original webtoon. I thought it was the best way to get across the character. It is my first time in 20 years to bleach and cut my hair short.”
She also opened up about her co-stars: Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Yoon Ji On. She said, “Rowoon is a really kind and diligent young man and Yoon Ji On is a cute and friendly lady. She has always been nice to me, so I love having her around.” She also praised Lee Soo Hyuk, saying, “He is really cool, and you get to instantly know why he is a top model when you see him. His deep voice is also very pleasing to hear.”
MBC’s Tomorrow will premiere in March.
