Netflix unveiled the second teasing poster and trailer for its upcoming original series, The Silent Sea.
The Silent Sea tells the story of elite crews who leave for a research base abandoned on the moon to carry out a special mission. The series is set in 2075, where the earth is devastated by the depletion of essential resources.
The released teasing poster captures the elite crew members heading to the moon with a mission to search for clues that could possibly save mankind. Space biologist Song Ji An (Bae Doo Na), exploration leader Han Yoon Jae (Gong Yoo), and chief engineer Ryu Tae Seok (Lee Joon) must complete a mission at a base located in the middle of the moon, also known as the silent sea. You can feel the tension in their faces as they leave for the unknown space. What will happen to them, and what’s the secret behind their mission?
The trailer vividly captures the crisis that the crew faces. The spaceship crash lands on the moon due to a gas problem, throwing them in grave danger from the first moment of the mission.
After escaping from a spaceship, they force through the endless silence stretched over the barren surface of the moon and finally reach Balhae Lunar Research Station. However, another mystery awaits them. Song Ji An urgently says, “There’s less than ten percent possibility our whole crew will survive,” raising curiosity over the mystery lurking inside the closed research base.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s original series The Silent Sea will be released on December 24th.
