SBS’ Lovers of the Red Sky ended on a high note. According to Nielsen Korea, the show’s final episode scored average nationwide viewership ratings of 10.4 percent.

In the last episode, Hong Cheon Ki (Kim Yoo Jung) and Haram (Ahn Hyo Seop) found a happy ending after everything they’ve been through.

At the final sealing ritual, the painter and the astrologer risked everything to save their loved ones. While Haram was fighting off the devil that possessed him, Hong Chun Ki completed the painting with everything she’s got. However, unfortunately, the divine painter ended up losing her sight to the devil. The astrologer found his loved one when the final battle was over. However, it was hard for him to see her lose her sight. Although it was a painful victory, the two shared a heartfelt kiss to celebrate their life going back to normal.

Five years later, Hong Cheon Gi shocked the viewers with her fully restored sight. By “turning everything back to normal,” it meant lifting the devil’s curses from everyone and everything. They were able to start a family together and live happy life. In the end, Ha Ram surprised his wife by kissing her on her lips in the peach garden where they share a sweet memory, putting a nice capper on their eventful story.

As for Prince Yang Myeong (Gong Myung), he became the crown prince who was about to face a coup threat made by his ambitious brother Ju Hyang (Kwak Si Yang).
