Lovelyz’s Seo Jisoo expressed her regret over a year-long hiatus.
Recently, Seo Jisoo held a voice-only live broadcast through V Live and chatted with her fans. However, her casual chat soon took a sadder tone as she talked about Lovelyz’s comeback.
She cautiously began, “When will I be able to see you. It’s disappointing.” She added, “We have tried all we can. We told the agency that we wanted to release an album. It’s not that we did not tell them all kinds of things that we wanted. We did not hold back. This is our lives we are talking about, and to just waste so much of it like this is frustrating. And we feel sorry for our fans.”
The idol then continued, “I just want you all to know that we aren’t just waiting around without taking action. I know that you are having a hard time. It must be frustrating, but right now, there’s nothing we can say.”
Another member Jin also posted a cryptic message on her Instagram. She wrote, “These days, I forget what my job is. If you just look at my Instagram, I’m a food vlogger.” The post has since been deleted.
Lovelyz has not been active as a group since their 7th mini-album in September last year. Only Mijoo has emerged as a variety show star, appearing on all major shows.
In particular, fans speculate that Lovelyz will part their ways in less than a month when their contract ends. As more than one member has expressed their dissatisfaction, attention focuses on if the group Lovelyz will continue to exist.
