Jung Eun Chae will star in the new Coupang Play original series The Second Anna (literal title).
According to SPOTVNEWS, Jung recently joined the cast of The Second Anna.
The Second Anna is a new work by director Lee Zoo Young, who directed the 2017 movie A Single Rider, starring Lee Byung Hun and Gong Hyo Jin. Originally, Lee planned on releasing the work as a movie. However, the project was recently reorganized as an 8-part Coupang Play original series.
The series tells the story of a woman who tries to live a life of a different person like those who suffer from Ripley’s syndrome. Previously, Suzy was confirmed to play the title role, Anna, the woman who wants to live someone else’s life.
Jung will be playing a woman who has lived a perfect life since the moment she was born. She’s also the life that Anna wants to steal as her own. The role will perfectly go along with Jung’s elegant and sophisticated image. Last year, the actress pulled off the role of a charming female prime minister in The King: Eternal Monarch.
Meanwhile, Coupang Play is continuing its aggressive investment. Besides The Second Anna, they will release One Ordinary Day, starring Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won, as its original series.
