BTS won three trophies at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (hereinafter referred to as MTV VMAs).
On the 13th KST, the 2021 MTV VMAs was held at the Barclays Center in New York, USA.
Previously, BTS was nominated for seven different awards, including Song of the Year (“Dynamite”), Best Pop (“Butter”), Best K-pop (“Butter”), Best Choreography (“Butter”), and Best Editing (“Butter”).
And today, the act took home Group of the Year, Song of the Summer (“Butter”), and Best K-Pop (“Butter”). Along with Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo, BTS lead the event with three awards each. In particular, the group has won both the Group of the Year and Best K-Pop awards for three consecutive years.
Though BTS couldn’t attend the awards ceremony due to the pandemic, the members still expressed their gratitude through recorded videos.
