HYBE has surpassed 1 trillion won in quarterly revenue for the first time, setting new company records for both revenue and operating profit.
The K-pop giant announced on July 28th that it posted 1.45 trillion won ($993 million) in revenue and 170.9 billion won ($117 million) in operating profit for the second quarter of 2026.
The results mark HYBE’s strongest quarter ever. It is the first time the company has generated more than 1 trillion won in quarterly revenue and more than 100 billion won in operating profit. HYBE also surpassed 2 trillion won ($1.4 billion) in first-half revenue for the first time.
A major driver behind the record-breaking quarter was BTS, who launched their world tour in April. The group’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG, also topped the U.S. CD and vinyl album sales charts, according to global music analytics firm Luminaite.
The success of BTS’s world tour has also had a noticeable economic impact on the cities it has visited, with local media and fans even coining the term “BTSnomics” to describe the spending boost associated with the group’s concerts.
HYBE credited not only BTS but also the steady stream of comebacks and world tours from artists across its labels for the strong performance. Concerts generated 647.7 billion won ($444 million) in revenue, while recorded music brought in 326.8 billion won ($224 million). Revenue from merchandise, licensing, and other indirect business activities also reached a record 310.6 billion won ($213 million).
HYBE’s artists also continued to post impressive album sales in the first half of the year. BTS, Tomorrow X Together, ENHYPEN, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, and CORTIS each surpassed 1 million album sales, while KATSEYE continued its rapid rise in the global music market.
