On Wednesday, Hangkyung reported that Wheein is currently in the final stages of discussions to sign an exclusive contract with H1GHR Music
Back in June, Mamamoo’s Wheein decided to leave RBW. At the time, the artist left a handwritten letter to her fans. “I’m leaving RBW to find a new environment for me. RBW was like a hometown as I spent 10 years there since I was a trainee. Together we went through much and thanks to them, here I am as an established singer.”
According to the report, Wheein has been carefully going through all the options for her new agency. And only recently, she chose H1GHR Music as her new home.
However, Wheein’s acquaintance denied the news, saying, “The report about Wheein signing an exclusive contract with H1GHR Music is not true.” He added, “Wheein is indeed getting lots of offers from various companies. But nothing has been confirmed yet.”
H1GHR Music is a hip-hop label of AOMG headed by Jay Park. Currently, pH-1, HAON, TRADE L, GOT7’s JAY B, and more are affiliated with the label.
