Several staff members came to Seo Ye Ji’s defense in the ongoing allegations.
One online user revealed that they’ve worked with the actress for five years, from 2015 to 2020. On April 14th, they wrote, “Seo Ye Ji often thanked us for working with her. She always had a great relationship with my parents, which is not easy to maintain.” This author of the post added, “She wouldn’t look down on staff members or mistreat them. She would approach and greet people first.” They also said, “I liked her as a person because she was giving more love than receiving it. I have good memories of her.”
A different online user also came forward to the actress’s defense. “This is my 13th year in the entertainment industry. Seo Ye Ji is one of the actresses who left the best memories in me. She is honest and easygoing.” They explained, “Ye Ji is upfront. She doesn’t go behind their backs and make them lose their jobs.”
Though voices were supporting the actress, the public remained unmoved.
The previously revealed texts with Kim Jung Hyun seem to be the reason. In her conversation with the actor, Seo Ye Ji wrote, “You shouldn’t say hi to them. If they come to you, act stiff.” Online users flamed with anger claiming that it is how she thinks of the staff members. The controversy has become more significant after the mistreated staff members made online posts.
With the positive remarks about the actress, people are commenting things such as “She might have been kind to upper ranks,” “You shouldn’t think that she was nice to others just because she was nice to you. There are people who she hurt,” and “I wish Seo Ye Ji spoke up on this.”
