EXO’s Baekhyun personally announced his enlistment plans.
On the 26th, Baekhyun hosted Instagram Live. During the broadcast, he confessed why there are no announced promotion schedules for his new smash Bambi.
He hesitantly added, “I really wanted to tell you. In fact, I thought a lot about whether I should tell you about this earlier this month or wait for more. But this month was the latest I could postpone my military enlistment. So I couldn’t plan anything in April.”
“Is it right to ask you to wait for me without preparing anything? I told you guys that I would repay your love by making you happy as much as I can. But I couldn’t make you restless by telling you this in advance,” Baekhyun continued. “So I wanted to work hard on my solo album. I wished to show you all I wanted to show you, so I put in my ideas from the planning stage to music video shooting.”
Baekhyun then eased fans’ disappointments, saying that he has prepared YouTube videos and various content to fill his void. “I might have said it too late, and that might have upset you. But I only had one purpose. ‘Let’s not make them prepare for it (my enlistment) so early.’ It’s not like we’re saying goodbye forever, so I want to say, ‘I’ll be back.’”
Meanwhile, Baekhyun will drop his new solo album, Bambi, on the 30th at 6 PM KST.
