Do Kyung Soo Cast to Star in Korean Remake of Taiwanese Film ‘Secret’

EXO’s Do Kyung Soo has confirmed his appearance in the film Secret (literal title).

Secret is a remake of a Taiwanese film of the same name released in 2008 and is a fantasy romance movie that begins when a former piano genius meets a female student who was playing mysterious music in an old practice room. At the time of the release, it was praised by the audience as the “legendary youth romance” for its flawless harmony between heartfelt first love that transcends time and space and sweet classical music.

In the Korean remake, Do Kyung Soo will take on the male lead role, played by Jay Chou in the original film. As the actor has solidified his acting skills through various works, including 100 Days My Prince, My Annoying Brother and Swing Kids, he will be showing deeper eyes and emotional performances through Secret. The female lead will be chosen through an official audition.

Secret will be produced by Hive Media Corp, which has showcased multiple tentpole films like Inside Men, Deliver Us From Evil and The Man Standing Next, and helmed by director Seo Yoo Min, who will make her directorial debut with the film Recalled, starring Kim Kang Woo and Seo Ye Ji.

The Korean version of Secret will begin filming in the second half of this year.
