Mun Ka Young is reportedly set to star in director Min Yong Geun’s new film Two Pieces (literal title).
OSEN reported on May 26th that the star has been offered a leading role in the movie and is expected to help lead the story.
Two Pieces will mark director Min Yong Geun’s first film in three years since Soulmate.
The upcoming movie is described as a female-led story centered around two women whose lives gradually spiral toward destruction. The project has already drawn attention from film fans, especially after being selected for this year’s Korean Film Council production support program. The film reportedly secured 1.6 billion won ($1 million) in funding.
Mun Ka Young recently earned praise for her performance in Once We Were Us and won Best Actress in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
She is also preparing to star in the upcoming drama Whale Star, based on the popular webtoon of the same name. In addition, reports recently stated that she is positively considering signing with Fantagio.
