Former NewJeans member Danielle has drawn attention after a recent update surfaced amid her ongoing legal dispute involving a large damages lawsuit.
Recently, a netizen posted a photo on Instagram, writing, “My dad asked if this was the NewJeans member I like, and I said, ‘Yes. That’s her. That’s NewJeans’ Danielle.’ He said she came to his friend’s church.”
In the photo, Danielle is seen wearing a casual sky-blue cap while holding a microphone on a stage. It has not been confirmed what she spoke about at the event, but the image of her standing in front of churchgoers with a mic quickly caught attention. Her bright, refreshing smile also stood out, especially as she continues to face a heavy legal situation.
Meanwhile, the NewJeans members have been involved in a legal dispute with ADOR following conflict over their exclusive contracts. Haerin, Hyein and Hanni have since expressed their intention to return to ADOR, while Minji is also reportedly continuing discussions related to her return.
Danielle, however, was notified by ADOR last December that her contract had been terminated over an alleged breach of her exclusive contract. ADOR later filed a 43.1 billion won (approximately $28.5 million) damages lawsuit, against Danielle and former CEO Min Hee Jin, among others. The Seoul Central District Court held the first hearing on May 14th.
