The sudden news of actress Kim Bo Kyung’s death shocked the entertainment industry.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that Kim Bo Kyung, who has been battling cancer for the past 11 years, has passed away on February 3.
Born in 1997, Kim debuted in 2001 with the film Friend after graduating from Seoul Institute of the Arts. At the time, she came under the spotlight as the band Rainbow’s Jinsook.
Even after being diagnosed with cancer, the actress continued her passion for acting, taking the lead role in KBS’s Drama Special Series Season 2: Amore Mio in 2012 and It Was Love in 2013. She also made her cameo appearances in films The Day He Arrives, Horror Stories and A Fairy Tale Of The Sun And The Moon.
However, no update of the late Kim Bo Kyung has been provided since May 2013, when her drama It Was Love ended.
