The ‘Fireplace Cat’ who won eight consecutive rounds turned out to be Highlight’s Yang Yo Seop.
Yang Yo Seop wrote on his Instagram on the 17th saying, “Thank you, everyone, for uniting and pretending to not know that it was me. It’s bittersweet to take off the mask which was loved by many. A part of my heart even aches, as I got attached to it.”
He added, “I also express my gratitude to the production crew of the show who came to me even before I was discharged from the army. The past wonderful five months will be unforgettable. While there were big and small difficulties because of the expectations and pressure on me, I am just happy that I was able to sing.”
Yang Yo Seop wrote that he will always appreciate being able to comfort and make someone feel touched with his stages, and will always sing happily.
Meanwhile, Yang Yo Seop failed to win his ninth victory after losing to the ‘Treasure Box’ on MBC’s King of Mask Singer on the 17th. However, his eight consecutive wins record the second-highest in the history of King of Mask Singer.
