Kim Sun Ho’s New Project Will Be Remake of the 2004 film ‘Mr. Handy, Mr Hong’

Kim Sun Ho, who became the biggest rising star in 2020, chose his new project.

According to Ilgan Sports, Kim Sun Ho confirmed his appearance in the new tvN drama Mr. Hong (working title).

This new rom-com drama Mr. Hong is the remake of the 2004 film Mr. Handy, Mr Hong, starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Joo Hyuk. The film tells the romance between perfectionist Hye Jin, who moves down to the countryside to open her own dental clinic, and Mr. Handy, who happens to be a Chinese food deliveryman, a clerk at the convenience store, a singer at a live café, a patrolman and many other things.

For the drama, Kim Sun Ho will play Hong Doo Sik. He is a local hero who appears whenever someone’s in need of help. He is friends with everyone from three-year-old children to eighty-year-old grandmothers and is the definition of being nosy. He became a man of mystery as he stayed as a part-timer who received only the minimum hourly wage.

The drama is penned by The Crowned Clown writer Shin Ha Eun, and the director is yet to be decided. It will premiere in the first half of next year.
