Super Junior recalled the time when they made their debut.
On November 7, Super Junior held their 15th-anniversary fan meeting, “SUPER JUNIOR 15th Anniversary Special Event – Invitation.” Leeteuk, who hosted the event, said, “It has been 15years and one day since we became Super Junior. The past 15 years flew by like 15 minutes for me.”
Soon, each member expressed their gratitude.
Kim Hee Chul said, “It’s already been 15 years. Everyone, thank you for your hard work. I met all of you guys when we were young, and now, we are close to our 40s.”
Yesung said, “Did you all think that this day would come? The time we walked together has been a long time.”
Shindong said, “I can’t believe it. It’s all thanks to the ELFs that we’ve come this far. Thank you so much. I spent half of my life as Super Junior.”
Eunhyuk said, “We are here thanks to our members, our ELFS, SM Entertainment, Label SJ and all the staff.”
Donghae said, “I’m grateful to be here with all our members, and thank you so much to our ELFs. I joined SM when I was just 15 years old, and it’s all thanks to our staff that I came this far.”
Choi Siwon said, “I think I’m blessed. It was an honor to work with great members and staff, and I look forward to your continued support (laughs).”
Ryeowook said, “Thank you so much. I really didn’t think we would be celebrating the 15th anniversary. I’m so happy and it’s such a meaningful day to be with you all.”
Kyuhyun said, “November 6, 2005. I didn’t know Super Junior at that time. I didn’t expect us to grow into such a great group then.”
Leeteuk added, “Combining all group, sub-unit and solo albums, Super Junior released more than 100 albums. We have held a total of 157 concerts and won awards at domestic and international awards every year from 2006 to 2020,” explaining Super Junior’s achievements so far.
Meanwhile, Super Junior dropped the pre-released song “The Melody” on November 6. Lee Teuk and Yesung participated in writing the lyrics, expressing their gratitude to each other for staying together for the past 15 years. The group will be releasing their 10th full-length album on November 12.
