NCT’s Doyoung will take on his first acting challenge.
According to a media outlet, NCT’s Doyoung will start his acting career in earnest by taking on the male lead of the drama Sanboksanbok Stoker (literal title).
Sanboksanbok Stoker is the third season of MBC’s Midnight Café series and is a fantasy drama based on the healing and growth of those who visit the cafe. In this drama, Doyoung will play an 18-year-old high school student.
Expectations are high on what Doyoung, who has acted as MC on a music show and showed outstanding singing skills and colorful performances on stage, will show as an actor. In particular, the fact that Doyoung is actor Gong Myung’s little brother is another reason that attracts attention to his performance.
Doyoung now became the third member of NCT to start his acting career. Jaemin won the Best Actor Award at the Seoul Webfest Film Festival for his acting ability from his first attempt, and Hae Jaehyun is in the midst of filming the new KBS drama Dear. M, which will air next year.
Meanwhile, NCT recently welcomed two additional members to the team and dropped their second full-length album RESONANCE Pt. 1.
