Netizens Show Mixed Reactions to Refund Sisters’ Choreography for Their Debut Song “Don’t Touch Me”

Yesterday, Refund Sisters, the second project group of MBC entertainment show How Do You Play?, has finally made their official debut through Show! Music Core. However, after the broadcast, netizens are showing mixed reactions to the overall choreography.

Recently, Yoo Jae Suk started a new project for his show How Do You Play? as producer Jimmy Yoo and created a sensational girl group Refund Sisters, consisting of Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Hyori, Jessi, and Hwasa.

The group first performed their new song “Don’t Touch Me” through Show! Music Core yesterday afternoon. And later the same day, How Do You Play? showed the process of members learning the choreography from AIKI, a famous choreographer.

However, after Show! Music Core and How Do You Play?, netizens have been arguing over the choreography of “Don’t Touch Me.” And soon, this argument led to criticism over AIKI, the one who created the dance.

Some wrote, “Personally, their dance looks really childish,” “Some dance moves look like they came from aerobic dance,” “The dance really killed the song,” or “She got to work with industry’s best female singers, and this is what she came up with?”

On the other hand, some pointed out that they only had about a few days to work on the choreography. “Guys, this is a project group. Calm down,” “You guys do know that she only had a few days tops to work on this,” “AIKI, you are amazing, so just delete all the malicious comments,” or “She made key points for each four members. That’s not easy.”

AIKI first drew attention abroad when she worked as a member of All Ready. In 2019, she appeared on World Of Dance and received rave reviews from Jennifer Lopez.
