Cross, starring Sam Worthington, Son Ye Jin and Lee Sun Kyun, will begin filming in the first half of next year.
On Oct. 16, an official from Son Ye Jin’s agency MSTeam Entertainment confirmed that Son Ye Jin held a pre-meeting with the production team of Cross yesterday. He added, “Cross will be filmed from the first half of next year. As of now, no exact schedule has been released.”
According to officials, Andrew Niccol and Bradley Cramp recently visited Korea for a pre-meeting with Son Ye Jin.
Cross is a futuristic movie where a multiracial country gets split into two and tells the story of the people stuck between the two nations, where one side is poor and one side is wealthy. Son Ye Jin will play the role of Vera, a tough woman who lives near the border inside the poor nation, whereas Lee Sun Kyun will play Gideon, the charismatic leader of the border defense team.
Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin recently made headlines when it was reported that she signed a 16 billion KRW (about 14 million USD) contract for the building in Sinsadong on July 28.
