Prison Playbook writer Jung Bo Hoon will return with a new project next year.

According to a media outlet, Jung plans to present a badminton-based drama Racket Boy Squad (literal title) next year. Pan Entertainment, which signed a contract with Jung earlier this year, will produce the drama, and SBS has programmed this upcoming project as their new Monday-Tuesday drama.

Jung Bo Hoon, who co-wrote tvN’s Reply 1988 (2015) with writer Lee Woo Jung, made his official debut with Prison Playbook (2017). At the time, Prison Playbook started off with 4.6% viewer ratings but saw a steep rise and recorded 11.2% by the final episode, achieving a successful conclusion. The success of Prison Playbook also led to the birth of Hospital Playlist.

Attention focuses on if Racket Boy Squad will be the next SBS’s hit sports drama, following Hot Stove League.
