NCT Jaehyun will make his acting debut as the lead protagonist in a Love Playlist spin-off series.
According to multiple industry officials, NCT Jaehyun was chosen to the play the lead actor in a Love Playlist spin-off series.
According to his label SM Entertainment, “NCT Jaehyun is positively considering his appearance in new series Dear.M.”
Playlist, the company that produced Love Playlist, is said to have joined hands with the company Monster Union to create a new series of Love Playlist.
Love Playlist, a youthful melodrama that follows the campus life of college students, is an immensely popular web drama that began in 2017. The series has accumulated over 300 million views so far.
Dear.M is a spin-off series of Love Playlist. It will include many new actors including NCT Jaehyun. Bae Hyun Sung and Kim Sae Ron, who became couples in the drama last season, will also appear in Dear.M. In addition, the drama will be in a mini-series format instead of a web drama format and will be broadcast on KBS instead of Naver V LIVE.
The drama is set to air early next year.
