Lee Hi Reveals Her True Feelings About YG Entertainment

On 1theK’s YouTube channel, solo artist Lee Hi talked about her many stories and memories while looking up articles and comments about her.

In the video, Lee Hi revealed that she signed an exclusive contract with AOMG, and asked Namuwiki to update her information.

She responded to comments saying that she was under-appreciated and the worst victim of YG Entertainment, “When I first debuted, the YG invested a lot into me and did their best to promote my music. I often wondered if rookie artists even received this much support in the first place.

“Since there are so many singers in YG, it takes at least 2 months to promote one singer properly. This means only 5 singers can be promoted per year. I hope you understand what I mean. I don’t consider myself a victim. Please don’t consider me as a victim.”

Lee Hi then said, “Going forward, I will promote a lot [under AOMG].”

She also unveiled the behind story of her relationship with AOMG. She explained, “When I left YG, AOMG co-CEO DJ Pumpkin was the first to reach out to me. Along with Code Kunst, all three of us had a meeting. Code Kunst praised the label a lot.

“After that, I got calls from a lot of agencies. I always wanted to settle down in an agency that I needed a lot. I signed a contract after a week.”
