Gong Yoo will make a special appearance in Netflix original series Round Six (Korean title Squid Games).
According to OSEN’s report, Gong Yoo decided to make a special appearance in Netflix’s original series Round Six and filmed last week.
It has been reported that Gong Yoo confirmed his appearance due to his relationship with director Hwang Dong Hyuk, whom he worked with in the movie Silenced (2011).
Regarding Gong Yoo’s appearance, the production company said, “We cannot answer,” while Netflix Korea said, “We are currently checking.“
Round Six is a story about people who fail at life receive a mysterious invitation to participate in a survival game to win $10 million. The story incorporates a popular Korean children’s game, “squid game.” It is a type of tag game, in which players move on a squid-shaped field drawn in the dirt.
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk, best known for Miss Granny, The Fortress, and Silenced, will be in charge of directing, and actors Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo have confirmed their appearances.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo met audiences with the movie Kim Ji-young, Born 1982, which was released last October, and is now waiting for the release of his new movie Seobok (literal translation).
