Kim Bo Ra Joins the ‘SF8’ Project by Starring in ‘Spaceman Joan’

Actor Kim Bo Ra will star in Spaceman Joan (literal translation), taking a part in SF8 project.

The crossover project “SF8,” produced by Soo Films in collaborations with MBC, Korean Film Directors’ Association (DGK) and Wavve, is an omnibus series directed by eight film directors into 8 40-minutes-long-episodes. It will tell the story of a near future where people dream of perfect world with technological developments.

By participating in Korean original SF anthology series, the actor will work with director Lee Yoon Jung, who debuted with Remember You.

Previously, Kim Bo Ra showed stable performances through JTBC’s SKY Castle and TV Chosun’s Touch. Rumors have it that she immersed in the character with her delicate acting throughout the filming, perfectly portraying the character of Joan.

Spaceman Joan, originally written by Kim Hyo In, depicts the youth in the midst of the disaster of fine dust. The work is one of the prize-winning novels of the “Safety House Story Contest.”

The original version of “SF8,” which will be produced with various materials including artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robot, game, fantasy, horror, superpowers, disaster, etc., will be released in July on Wavve. Then two episodes will air back to back for four weeks on MBC in August.
