Baek Jin Hee has addressed speculation and misunderstandings about her fiancé.
On September 8th, the production team behind the YouTube channel “Jiny Is Back” clarified in a comment that the Korean man featured in their North American travel vlog last summer is not Baek Jin Hee’s fiancé.
“The Korean man shown in the video was simply a close acquaintance of the actress, not her future husband,” the production team said. The clarification came after online rumors claimed that the man seen with Baek Jin Hee at a famous restaurant in Toronto was her fiancé.
Her agency, Management AM9, also confirmed that Baek Jin Hee will get married on January 23th, 2027. Her fiancé is a non-celebrity who works in Canada.
Her fiancé also appeared in the video and shared his excitement about the upcoming wedding, saying, “I’m the one announcing the news. I am finally getting married.”
He also addressed speculation about his financial background, explaining that he is “just an ordinary office worker looking forward to Friday,” rather than a wealthy businessman or major asset holder.
The couple has been in a long-distance relationship, traveling between Seoul and Canada to see each other.
“We would travel back and forth across a distance that takes 14 hours by plane,” he said. “It was difficult not being able to see each other whenever we wanted.”
Baek Jin Hee, who began acting at 20, said her fiancé has been a source of support throughout her career and busy lifestyle.
“He is the person who helps me regain my composure and gives me comfort when I’m at my lowest,” she said.
Because her fiancé is a non-celebrity, Baek Jin Hee asked people to avoid excessive speculation about him.
“I don’t want to cause any disadvantage or hurt to the person who will become my spouse,” she said.
Baek Jin Hee plans to continue acting and running her personal YouTube channel after her wedding.
