The seven-member rookie group OnlyOneOf just opened a global contest for English lyrics of its latest single “dOra maar”, which was released on Jan. 30th. The contest goes up to Mar. 31st.
OnlyOneOf had a press conference to announce and celebrate the contest. Everyone is able to upload only a lyrics video on YouTube with no different forms of application. The final winner who submits the finest English lyrics for “dOra maar” will be offered a 100,000-dollar (nearly 120 million KRW) reward and credited on the album as a lyricist.
Of course, OnlyOneOf is going to record a track with the winner’s lyrics and release it worldwide. The winner will also have a video interview. Lastly, the ineligible works can get rejected by the judges if it turns out they are results of plagiarism. Even the winner can get canceled if any facts about plagiarism is revealed after the final choice.
This contest is a part of OnlyOneOf’s dreams to make music with its fans as if they enjoy a festival together. Meanwhile, “dOra maar” is OnlyOneOf’s first new single in three months since its releasing two mini albums last year.
