Song Ji Hyo has won the lawsuit against her former agency UZUROCKS, claiming a settlement payment of 980 million won ($743,243).
The court’s decision on December 13th went uncontested, as the agency did not file an appeal within the 14-day appeal period.
The period for challenging a judgment is generally restricted to two weeks from the date the judgment is issued. With UZUROCKS failing to submit an appeal after receiving the judgment on November 28th, Song Ji Hyo has ultimately won the settlement claim lawsuit.
In a previous court ruling on November 22nd, it was determined that the agency must pay Song Ji Hyo 98 million won for the unsettled amount, including additional late interest.
The actress announced the termination of her exclusive contract with the firm in April and filed a lawsuit, alleging that the company’s former CEO did not pay her advertising fees and other wages. She also filed a criminal complaint against him on charges of embezzlement.
Despite receiving legal documents, UZUROCKS neither appointed a legal representative nor submitted a response.
Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo signed an exclusive contract with Nexus ENM.
