The Glory Part 2 is enjoying its explosive global popularity as it topped the Netflix global top ten list in just three days after its release, according to FlixPatrol.
The show is currently receiving rave reviews from both South Korean and overseas outlets. American media outlet AV Club describes the show as having “can’t-miss-a-second plotting (a worthy continuation of the series that doubles down on its twists) with can’t-look-away framing.” Another outlet, Ready Steady Cut, praises it, saying “revenge remains as compelling as ever. There’s no reason to believe that The Glory Part 2 won’t exceed the explosive popularity of its freshman outing.”
TV Daily has praised “the way Kim Eun Sook writes lines” as “definitely unmatched,” while Sports Seoul has reported that “Song Hye Kyo, well-known for her numerous roles in romantic projects for years, has written another chapter in her acting career by portraying a vengeful character who transitions from crying to laughing like a joker while exploding her emotions.”
The viewers are also showering the show with praise, expressing in their comments such sentiments as “How can everyone act so well?” “Lim Ji Yeon‘s performance is so good that I find myself slightly avoiding eye contact with her. Her acting is undoubtedly excellent,” and “Yeom Hye Ran‘s acting evokes such sadness in me.”
Following its popularity, Netflix has released behind-the-scenes stills of The Glory Part 2.
