Dear. M will be released first in Japan, not Korea, according to JTBC News.

According to the report, an insider told the outlet, “Dear. M, which was waitlisted on this year’s roster once again following the previous year, will be released in Japan later this year.”

Dear. M is a youth romance drama about the campus-wide search for the mysterious “M,” an individual who wrote the post on the online community that turned the entire college upside down. Park Hye Soo, NCT’s Jaehyun, Roh Jeong Eui, Bae Hyun Sung, Lee Jin Hyuk, and Woo Dabi appeared in the project.

Ahead of its premiere in February last year, Park Hye Soo’s school bullying controversy went viral online. KBS decided to postpone the show’s programming and released its follow-up series Imitation first. Even this year, Dear. M was left out of the KBS drama lineup for 2022.

The production company decided to release the project in Japan. Recently the company has started preparing for the rescheduled premiere in earnest.
