Former AOA member ChoA officially announced her return to the entertainment industry after three years.
On Sept. 19, ChoA uploaded her first video on her YouTube channel, “CHOA.”
For her comeback, ChoA chose to cover Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” with a guitar. Her soft yet powerful voice caught the ears and her unique smile that many showed love for during her AOA days was still there.
The reactions were awe-inspiring. More than 34,000 people subscribed to her channel in just two days, and the first video surpassed 160,000 views in 18 hours.
ChoA left a thank you message on her Instagram, saying, “My first cover video has been posted, and thank you so much for all the warm comments. Have a good weekend, everyone.”
Meanwhile, ChoA made her debut as girl group AOA in 2012 but exited the group in June 2017 due to depression and insomnia. Only recently, she announced her comeback by signing a contract with Great M Entertainment, a new agency founded by Kim Young Sun, a founding member and a former managing director of FNC Entertainment.
