i-dle has canceled the North and Central American leg of their world tour.

My Daily reported on April 20th that the Canadian, American and Mexican dates for the group’s fourth world tour, titled “Syncopation,” will no longer take place as scheduled.

The group successfully began the tour in February and has already completed performances in Seoul, Taiwan and Thailand. They are currently set to continue through Australia, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. The now-canceled leg was originally slated for August and included a massive 10-city run. Fans in Hamilton, Newark, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle and Mexico City were expecting the group to arrive this summer.

Cube Entertainment addressed the sudden change in a statement to My Daily. They explained that the decision to reorganize the tour followed a comprehensive review of the group’s global direction, local schedules and various internal circumstances. The agency emphasized their commitment to meeting international fans in the future with more polished performances and a wider range of activities.

This schedule change coincides with news of i-dle’s upcoming domestic comeback. The group is confirmed to return to the Korean music scene this July. By clearing their August schedule, the members will have significantly more flexibility to focus on their promotional activities in Korea following the new release.
