aespa’s Winter will miss the group’s upcoming concert in Dallas due to health issues.
SM Entertainment announced on September 29th that Winter will not participate in aespa’s Dallas concert or the fan events scheduled before and after the show.
The agency said Winter began feeling unwell before aespa’s recent concert in Miami. She still chose to perform because she wanted to take the stage with her members.
Her condition did not improve after the concert. Winter later visited a hospital for further tests and was diagnosed with shingles.
Winter had hoped to recover in time for the Dallas performance, but her agency and medical team ultimately advised her to rest.
“We have decided that Winter will not participate in the Dallas concert and will take time to rest following the medical team’s recommendation that the artist’s health and recovery should come first,” SM Entertainment said.
Karina, Giselle and Ningning will continue with the Dallas concert and the scheduled fan events.
Winter also apologized to fans in a message shared by the agency. “I’m very disappointed that I can’t join the performance, as I was really looking forward to meeting the Dallas audience,” she said. “I’m sorry to the fans who have been waiting for the concert and received this sudden news.” She said she would focus on getting enough rest and recovering so she can meet fans again soon.
aespa is currently on its U.S. tour.
