Youn Yuh Jung attended the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards with a bright smile despite missing out on the award.
The actress attended the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 14th.
She was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in the second season of Netflix’s Beef. However, the award went to Linda Cardellini for her performance in HBO’s DTF St. Louis.
In Beef Season 2, Youn played Chairman Park, a wealthy Korean businesswoman and the wife of Dr. Kim, played by Song Kang Ho. The character was directed by Korean American filmmaker Lee Sung Jin.
Youn previously made history as the first Korean actress to win an Academy Award when she took home Best Supporting Actress for Minari at the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021.
