Oh Yoona recently shared the heartwarming news of her remarriage to a non-celebrity partner, and fans are absolutely thrilled for her.
Taking a short break from her YouTube channel, she returned on June 3rd with a surprise video to share the milestone directly with the people who have stood by her. Getting visibly emotional, she explained, “There’s a reason I’ve returned to YouTube after a short break. I am getting married. I felt I had to share this news directly with all of you. I wanted my supporters to be the first to know.”
For years, Oh Yoona’s entire world revolved around her son, Min, whom she has raised as a single mother since her divorce in 2015. Min has a developmental disability, and she admitted she never really expected this chapter for herself, saying, “Many of my subscribers have wished for me to meet a good partner and live happily. For a long time, I raised my child alone, and my son Min was always my top priority. I thought I would spend the rest of my life focusing only on him.”
However, life had beautiful plans in store. “But I met someone truly wonderful, and I decided to get married,” she shared, overflowing with gratitude for how her new husband and his family embraced her son. “Not only my husband but also his parents have welcomed my child as their own grandchild. That’s not something easy to do, and I don’t think it would have been possible without fate. My husband accepted my child very naturally and warmly. I was also treated with great care, and we naturally became a family.”
Her agency, YA Entertainment, confirmed that the couple has already registered their marriage and started their new life together. Because her husband isn’t a public figure, she asked for privacy and warmth, noting, “I made this decision some time ago, but I contemplated a lot about how to share the news. Since my partner is a non-celebrity, I need to be especially careful. I will continue to live as I have been. Please watch over us warmly.”
The comment section of her video quickly turned into a sea of happy tears and encouragement, especially from fellow parents who know just how hard she has worked.

One fan touched everyone by writing, “I can’t watch this without crying. I came here after seeing the news. I’m a fan who quietly supports you. Congratulations. Oh Yoona will definitely be happy. She deserves it. Everyone in the country knows that. I rarely leave comments, but I had to say this.”
Others echoed the sentiment, with messages like, “This is so heartwarming. Why am I crying? You’ve gone through so much; now be happy,” and “This is the first time I’ve ever felt so happy about a remarriage. You are someone who truly deserves love and happiness.”
A particularly moving comment came from another single parent who felt deeply inspired: “I’m also raising a son with a severe developmental disability on my own. I rarely comment, but I came straight here after seeing the news. Congratulations, and I hope you finally find as much happiness as you’ve endured hardship. Be happy!”
Ultimately, the collective voice of her fans is one of pure celebration for a mother who gave everything to her child and has now found a partner to share in that love. As one longtime follower beautifully put it, “Yoona, I still remember you once said, ‘I have raised my child well so far and will continue to raise him well.’ I thought you were incredibly strong and admirable. I always believed you would find this kind of love and happiness while staying true to yourself. As you said, I hope your life continues to unfold beautifully. I will always support you.”
