Park Seo Yoon opened up about playing the Episode 3 villain in Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson and teased a possible Season 2 return.

In the series, Park shared most of her scenes with Jin Ki Joo, who plays Education Rights Protection Bureau supervisor Im Han Rim, and Lee Sang Hee, who plays teacher Jeong Sun Young. Episode 3 also marks Im Han Rim’s first major appearance.

On working with Jin, Park said she tried to be careful around her because their characters were meant to clash. “Since I had to be in conflict with her character, I wanted to ask her a lot of questions and get closer to her, but I felt like I needed to keep some distance,” she recalled.

Still, Park said Jin supported her even off camera. “Even when I was filming my scenes, she tried to give me energy from behind the camera. I was really grateful.”

She also praised Lee Sang Hee, saying, “I learned so much from her. She’s such a warm person.” Park added that during a hitting scene, Lee checked on her afterward, asking if she was okay and telling her to keep icing her hand.

Park said Episode 3 stood out because it dealt with cyberbullying in a more chilling way.

“I thought it was on a completely different level from ordinary school bullying,” she said. “It made me realize how scary cyberbullying really is. My character is a villain who uses her head in a really cunning way, and then the Education Rights Protection Bureau gives it right back to her. I think that’s the part viewers enjoyed.”

As for watching herself, Park said she viewed the show alone at home. “I was watching it as a viewer and laughing along, but when Episode 3 came on, I got nervous,” she said. “I thought it turned out better than I had worried.”

Park also joked that her character Han Ye Ri may still have a slim chance of returning if Teach You a Lesson gets a second season.

“I’m not saying this out of greed,” she said. “But in the original webtoon, Ye Ri becomes an assistant to the bureau from prison. So if Season 2 is confirmed and it follows the original story, whether I appear or not would depend on that. I’d say there’s at least a 0.1% chance.”

Park also reflected on her career after winning Actor of the Year at the Busan International Film Festival, saying she went through a difficult period afterward.

“After receiving the award, I felt like I had to prove myself, but I only got disappointing results after that, so I spent a lot of time alone thinking,” she said.

She added, “I realized that an opportunity like winning Actor of the Year doesn’t come easily, so I don’t want to get complacent. This attention could disappear at any time, so I think I have to keep proving myself.”
