Pamun, a working title for the upcoming film about a dangerous family business and a fierce succession battle, has wrapped filming.
The film follows the chaos that erupts after the death of the eldest grandson of the Yedong Kwon family, which has secretly run a dangerous illegal business for generations.
Byun Yo Han stars as Park Gi Tae, a man who has taken on the family’s dirtiest work despite not being related by blood.
“Every scene we made on set was incredibly intense,” Byun said. “We built each scene with the director, cast and crew under a constant sense of tension. I hope all of our efforts reach audiences with many different emotions when the film hits the theater.”
Esom plays Kwon So Hyun, the eldest daughter of the Kwon family. “So Hyun is a character who has to hold the center,” she said. “I couldn’t let my guard down for a moment. I hope the hard work of our cast and crew comes through to audiences.”

Kim Jun Han, who plays family heir Kwon Do Young, said the project felt especially heated.
“It never really sinks in when a project ends, but this one especially felt like everyone on the cast and crew poured themselves into it,” he said. “There were so many scenes where we had to stay fierce every moment, so it suddenly feels like it’s really over. Still, I feel like we all did our best to make a good film.”
Director Kim Sun Kyung, who is making her commercial feature debut, said she had been preparing the story for more than six years. “Now that filming is done, I finally feel like the movie is really being made,” she said. “I’ll do my best to finish post-production and keep going until the day we can meet audiences.”
Pamun explores patriarchal family order, power struggles and the desires of each character with tense, layered storytelling. Kim Sun Kyung wrote and directed the film, with Byun Sung Hyun of Good News and The Merciless joining as co-writer.
Sho Kasamatsu also appears as Sendo, adding to the cast. Produced by Star Platinum, Pamun will move into post-production ahead of its 2027 release.
