As South Korea’s annual College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) approaches, 2007-born K-pop idols are taking different paths when it comes to higher education.
IVE’s Leeseo has decided not to sit for the exam this year. Her agency, Starship Entertainment, stated, “After long discussions regarding her plans for university, Leeseo decided not to take the CSAT this year. We respected her wish to focus fully on her activities for now.” The agency added that her college plans may be revisited in the future depending on her own preferences.
In contrast, ZEROBASEONE’s Han Yujin will be taking the exam. According to his agency WAKEONE, “Han Yujin will sit for this year’s CSAT,” noting that the idol has shown strong commitment to academics while balancing domestic and international promotions.
This year’s CSAT will take place on November 13th from 8:40 AM to 5:45 PM across 1,310 test centers nationwide, with a total of 554,174 students registered to take the exam.
Among this year’s 2007-born idol group members eligible for the test are IVE’s Leeseo, ZEROBASEONE’s Han Yujin, BABYMONSTER’s Ahyeon and Rami, HEART2HEART’s Yuha and Stella, izna’s Ryu Sa Rang and Choi Jung Eun, ILLIT’s Wonhee, MEOVV’s Narin, NCT WISH’s Sakuya, and KATSEYE’s Yoonchae.
