A heartwarming story has emerged about Go Hyun Jung saving her 6-year-old co-star from a dangerous ocean wave during a drama shoot last year.
The story was shared on September 8th by the child actor’s mother in a heartfelt social media post.
Child actor Jo Se Woong’s mother recounted the terrifying incident, which occurred while filming the SBS drama Queen Mantis on a remote island beach. She explained that her son, excited by the water, ran toward it when a wave suddenly surged and pulled him under.
At that critical moment, Go Hyun Jung “ran over like thunder” and pulled him into a hug, even though she was some distance away.
The mother expressed her immense gratitude, writing, “Go Hyun Jung’s clothes were completely soaked; she threw her entire body into saving him. I don’t know how to express how thankful I am.” She added, “As his mother, I was in shock and completely froze, so I want to thank her once again.”
She also shared that Go Hyun Jung’s kindness didn’t end there. “Even after filming was over, she continued to play with Se Woong and showered him with affection. She was like an angel.” The mother shared that her son would frequently ask about Go Hyun Jung even after filming ended.

The video shared in the post shows the two sitting together on the beach, chatting and playing in the sand.
