Joo Jong Hyuk is taking on a new challenge with a K-beauty themed variety show with Park Min Young.
According to Star News on July 13th, the Extraordinary Attorney Woo breakout star is in talks to appear in a new CJ ENM variety show centered on running a K-beauty salon in New York City. The show is scheduled to begin filming later this month.
Park Min Young and Ra Mi Ran have already confirmed their participation. Park and Joo are also co-stars in the upcoming Amazon Original series The Confidence Man KR, which is set to premiere later this year. Their reunion in this variety show promises to showcase their chemistry beyond the drama format.
Joo Jong Hyuk made his debut in the 2015 short film The Craving and steadily built his career with roles in both TV and film. He became a household name in 2022 with his memorable turn as “Tactician” Kwon Min Woo in ENA’s hit series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He has since appeared in Frankly Speaking, Trigger, IRON MASK, and Because I Hate Korea, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Now, he’s ready to show a different side of himself. Alongside Park Min Young and Ra Mi Ran, he’ll help run a K-beauty salon in NYC, offering viewers a fresh and fun look at Korean beauty culture on the global stage.
The show will be helmed by director Kim Sang Ah, known for Not Hurt You and Europe Outside Your Tent.
