Netflix series Teach You a Lesson has officially broken into the platform’s Top 10 most popular non-English series of all time.
The series, which follows the uncompromising members of a fictional Educational Rights Protection Bureau as they step in to defend victims and restore order in schools, recorded 60.2 million views within its first eight weeks of release.
Teach You a Lesson is now the fourth Korean series to reach the milestone, following Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Squid Game. That means four of Netflix’s 10 most-watched non-English series of all time are Korean productions.
The achievement further highlights the growing global reach and influence of Korean content. Teach You a Lesson ranked No. 1 globally for four consecutive weeks beginning in its first week of release and entered the Top 10 in 91 countries during its second week. Even eight weeks after its debut, the series remains in Netflix’s weekly Top 10 rankings.
According to Netflix’s “What We Watched” report for the first half of 2026, released in mid-July, five of the 10 most-viewed series during that period were first-season shows, including Teach You a Lesson. The figures suggest that audiences are continuing to discover and embrace new titles alongside established hits.
The report also found that even Netflix’s biggest global title accounted for less than 1% of total viewing, underscoring how the platform’s success is driven by the breadth and variety of its overall catalog rather than a small handful of hits.
Featuring the fresh concept of a fictional government agency dedicated to protecting teachers and students alike, along with a lineup of unconventional characters, Teach You a Lesson delivers a cathartic story about restoring order to the education system.
Teach You a Lesson is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
