Broadcast Category

The Baeksang Arts Awards has continually expanded its judging scope from the three major terrestrial broadcasters to include cable, comprehensive programming channels, streaming platforms and web content, even incorporating creators into its evaluation criteria, aligning with evolving content consumption trends. Reflecting this broadened standard, this year the TV category has been renamed the “Broadcast Category,” marking yet another change.
In the increasingly competitive Drama Series category, the nominees are tvN’s Lovely Runner, JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok, MBC’s Doubt, Netflix’s The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines. For the Entertainment Program category, which highlights the trendiest content of the moment, the nominees include tvN’s Iron Girls, Mnet’s Stage Fighter, Choo Sung Hoon’s OOTD, DdeunDdeun’s Pinggyego, and Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars.
The nominees for Best Director are Kim Won Seok (Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines), Kim Hee Won (Disney Plus’s Light Shop), Song Yeon Hwa (MBC’s Doubt), Lee Do Yoon (Netflix’s The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call), and Jung Ji In (tvN’s Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born). For Best Screenplay, the nominees are Kim Jung Min (Coupang Play’s Family Matters), Park Ji Sook (JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok), Lee Si Eun (tvN’s Lovely Runner), Lim Sang Chun (Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines), and Choi Yoo Na (SBS’s Good Partner). Those who have led the forefront of K-entertainment trends over the past year have been nominated for the Entertainment Award. The Best Male Entertainer nominees are Kim Won Hun, DEX, Sung Si Kyung, Shin Dong Yup, and Yoo Jae Suk. For Best Female Entertainer, Lee Soo Ji, Jang Do Yeon, Ji Ye Eun, Haewon and Hong Jin Kyung will compete in a friendly rivalry. For Best Director, the nominees are Park Ri Woong (The Land of Morning Calm), Oh Seung Uk (Revolver), Woo Min Ho (Harbin), Lee Eon Hee (Love in the Big City), and Lee Jong Pil (Escape). The Best New Director category, expected to be just as fiercely competitive, includes Kim Se Hwi (Following), Nam Dong Hyeop (Handsome Guys), Oh Jung Min (House Of The Seasons), Lee Mi Rang (Concerning My Daughter), and Jung Ji Hye (Jeong Sun).

Marking its third year, the Gucci Impact Award has selected five films—Blesser, Love in the Big City, The Voices Of The Silenced, The Land of Morning Calm, and Jeong Sun—each shedding light on social issues from unique perspectives and carrying messages for a better future.
