The agency of singer Wheesung has issued a statement regarding funeral arrangements.
On March 11th, Tajo Entertainment stated, “The bereaved family is in deep shock and sorrow following this sudden tragedy, making it difficult to proceed with funeral arrangements. Once they find the strength, they plan to hold a private funeral with only family, relatives, and close friends in attendance.”
They further urged, “We ask for respect for the grieving family by avoid spreading unverified rumors and speculation. We extend our deepest condolences for the late artist’s final journey.”
Wheesung was found at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead. The police reported no signs of foul play, and they have requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the precise cause of death.
With Wheesung’s passing, his concert scheduled for March 23rf in Gwangju has been canceled.
According to his agency, Wheesung’s ‘White Day Concert’ will also be canceled, and refund procedures will be initiated shortly. The concert was originally set to be held on March 23td at 7 PM at the Chosun University Haoreum Hall.
Wheesung was also scheduled to hold a joint ballad concert with fellow singer KCM at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium on the 15th, but this event has also been canceled due to his sudden passing.
