YoonA is set to take on the role of a forensic pathologist in the upcoming tvN drama Unnatural (working title).
Written by Min Ji Eun and directed by Park Yoo Young, Unnatural is a mystery medical drama produced by Studio Dragon and Big Wave Entertainment. The series follows forensic pathologists at U.D.I., a fictional autopsy unit within the National Forensic Service, as they investigate unnatural deaths and uncover the truth behind them. The drama is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
YoonA will play Song Do Eun, a forensic pathologist at the U.D.I. center. Although she appears calm and composed, Song Do Eun has a strong sense of empathy and an unwavering determination to uncover the truth.
No matter how difficult a case may be, she remains focused during autopsies and carefully examines every piece of evidence. Her work is driven by a desire to understand the final moments of those who have died and make sure their stories are heard.
The role is expected to show a different side of Yoona as she portrays Song Do Eun’s balance of professionalism, strength, and warmth.
The production team praised Yoona’s casting, saying, “Yoona’s bright and warm energy will create great chemistry with Song Do Eun, a character with a strong sense of conviction and humanity.”
